Vecta Immobiliser immobilises 350i!!!!
Discussion
Vecta :hum: I had another system on my 400 - all black wires onto all black TVR wires but traced each back to the joins - buzzed the wires through and took the thing off - it took about 4 hours
. It stayed in the boot so when asked "did your car have an immobiliser" Answer - Yes!"
Always taken them off and fitted a kill switch to the battery - more reliable. Good luck.

The thieving scum used to get around the original Vecta by carrying an old credit card or similar with a hole drilled in a judicious place. They also carried a cordless screwdriver, with a drill bit fitted. The card showed them where to drill a hole that severed the PCB tracks and allowed the immobiliser to work.
Vecta got round it by putting the PCB in a length of drainpipe so you couldn't tell which way up the PCB was!
Otherwise, you'll have to pull all the wires out and reconnect as appropriate...

If you were a bit closer I'd have offered to take a look for you... sorry!

The usual procedure is (i) insert vecta key wait for led to change to green, (ii) turn ignition key to point 2 and then (iii) press toad alarm/immobiliser fob - if you are lucky dashboard symbols then light up and you are ready to start it up (secure eh!). At present I am not even getting past first base as the vecta immboliser led is not turning green.
Wedg1e, ta for offer. If I could teleport it up to Teeside I would!!

Is it definitely the immobiliser that's immobilised things and not some of the rest of your black spaghetti? Which bits are immobilised?
