Today I drove a.....

Griffith 500..... wow what a great machene. Very composed over the bumpy bits, very balanced, great feel (no power steering) lovely interior (machined alloy dash with black leather ), great car to be in, truly awsome in fact.....but........it felt a bit slower, well maybe not slower but no quicker (may be because the owner was a passenger and the throttle was very stiff,..effect etc) and much quieter than mine......

I seriously respect and appreciate this great machine I currently own now more than ever

Went in 3 different engined griffs at ASDA day last year at bruntingthorpe as a passenger , Ashley's was the best , 4.3L and it won the griff sound test .

In the present market, like for like on condition and spec they are not twice the price. A GOOD 400se say 7.5K? and a similar spec and condition griff 4litre pre-cat 9.5K? The question is would you pay £2000 more and go for a griff?????????

For me it would have to be a step up in performance, i.e a well fettled 500 and then your talking double the money ...which is a lot

I like a Griffith, if the money was there I would have both. But I like people to know I am going to arrive from miles away

So the price is getting in the 'have a griff as a toy next to a wedge' territory?
Also handy if you need a part to keep the wedge going, or pickup parts to keep the wedge going.
