What's the status of TVR these days - the company that is? Are cars still going to be manufactured - in Italy, USA, Blackpool?

I read something of the deals that Smolensky had done and that suggested he had sold manufacturing rights to some div to make cars in North America (USA, Canada?) and also that some cars were to be made in Italy (by Bertone?).

Anyone know the current position?

Yes - I read that some time ago.

I'm not so sure that that is entirely legal these days. I believe that if it can be shown that the company was put into receivership to avoid creditors then that may be an offence. The ploy of "The name's changed but the game's the same" is a system that has been used by many, it is these days an offence, and this practice is called, I think, "Centrebinding" after a particular company on whom the ruse was used.

Of course showing intent re the above can often be difficult, and the DTI tend to be a rather slow lot.

Has there been any further news?
