Will MX5 seats fit?

my seats are pretty beat up and they need replacing. I've been offered a really good deal on a pair of leather MX5 seats. Anyone know if they will fit in my 280 S2, Cheers Gavin

the MX5 seats would come with thier own frame rails

If it helps, I had a pair of MX5 seats in my old Triumph Sh1tfire and they are narrow but I don't know if they'd fit in the wedge or not?

Why not get them redone? Dunno about you seats, but mine are the most comfy
of any car I've ever owned. I'd re-leather them before replacing my own.... too comfy.

I'm in the US so trim pieces is difficult. I can get them recovered for a respectable price but the foam is somewhat out of shape. 67000 miles of butt pressure. I can get 2 front tan leather seats from the MX5 in really good condition for about 400US or 200GBP. This I think will be alot cheaper than having the originals redone. I know it isn't going to be original but....

OK DFI (Different F***ING IDEA) going to keep the orginal seats and have them recovered. I have 1/2 a mind to get the whole interior redone. things to do, things to do.....it just goes on and on.
