Hi guys I have an emergency request for anyone who has a double room booked at Ettington for next Saturday and is likely to be cancelling.

I have arranged for a very important Guest of Honour to attend BBWF this year, and he has just confirmed that he would be delighted to attend but, I need to find him a double room ASAP
So if anyone can help please contact me directly on sdtvr@yahoo.co.uk

If you don't get any joy that way - try contacting the chap who does the village website - his email and tel no are on here. I spoke to him at the time of the first BBWF and he was very helpful.

Apaet from that - type in your search for places to stay in the Ettington (or Stratford-upon-Avon) and you will find there are a good few places in neighbouring villages and also farmhouse accommodation just outside Ettington.

There is also another pub/hotel 2 miles to the north of Ettington that does rooms. Spotted Dog or something like that, but I notice it is no longer on the vilage website.

I did have a ccomplete rundown on accommodation in the area, but sadly this was lost as a result of a computer glitch. Sorry.

There's also a place called Fulready Manor nearby - actually shown as in Ettington I think, but the prices may be a bit posh. But if he/she is a special guest why not have a whip round?

http://www.fulreadymanor.co.uk/index.htm

I would have thought that with this weather, a lot of the local accommodation may just be suffering a load of cancellations, so might quite like a new booking?

I'll shut up now.

Largest pre BBWF contributor to the The British Heart Foundation may be the first one to have the VVIP name revealed to them.

Wee man.

Mum's the word wink

Congratulations - that's quite a coup !

Good luck with getting a room.. if this rain continues - they might soon have an empty hotel.

Might be worth giving the conference office a call and ask them to contact you if there is a cancellation.
