Chaps and Chapesses -

I was just wondering if it might be a good idea, in the light of recent events, to change our charity to a donation to the Flood Relief Fund. I believe Gloucestershire County Council or Clocester City Council have set one up as they were receiving donations independently; also I think The Red Cross have doene so too.

If the British Heart Foundation gift has already been set up, then of course we shouldn't change it.

If my suggestion offends, then I apologise. I just thought that we will be in the middle of the flooded area of the country (and three houses flooded in Ettington!) and it might be good if we can do a little to help those that have lost so much and suffered whilst we are having our fun nearby.

Many people will have insurance - but they won't pay out. Some won't have insurance - bacause thay can't get insured (and I suppose some might say 'Why live near water then'), many won't get the full amount in a payout anyway, but I think there might be a fair bit of suffering going on here and a little help wouldn't go amiss.

And this is for British people!

I second that, not had the experience myself at home, but after driving through one flooded street the other day the stench was unbelieavable so can not imagine what it would be like in the actual flooded house. And they were no where near a river yikes
