Anyone have a pattern to remake the headlamp motor mounts? Both mine have rusted through and I'm struggling to get them off the car without wreaking what's left of them.
Alternatively does anyone one have a pair made up - cheap please!

Thanks in advance

Jim Chase made a template, he might still have it. I'll email him.

Hi Matt

I can give you a picture, I will E Mail through your profile.

I put mine back on yesterday otherwise, I could have helped you out! I do plan to take my other one apart to recondition/replace the motor and try and get the pod to line up better in the hole, but unlikely to be until next weekend now. Let me know how you get on.

If the bracket is that corroded, are the motors and linkages okay then?

As it seems to be getting left behind!!

I have the dimensioned drawings I took from my early Tasmin. Those brackets look to be the same as on my '87 car, however these are the version mounted to the engine bay bulkhead, there was a different item sometimes used to mount the motors to the floor of the nosecone instead. I can dig the drawings out if needed.

There was someone making them a year or so ago, I bought a set. It might have been J Chase but I will look when I got home. Although mine are rusted they are still holding so they are still in the box if you need something to use as a pattern.

Wow Marshall - you went there? What else did you see? What do they have in all those boxes?

Pretty much, if it exists for a wedge(or an S), they probably have it. I was impressed!!!

They _need_ to get a list up on the web! If people knew the parts were available, there would be more support for the marque.

Based on the volume of inventory they have, that would be a daunting task. But I'll mention that to them. I know they advertise in SPRINT and they will have a more substantive offering at this weekend's 60th anniversary gathering plus a rolling road.
I was absolutely amazed at what they had in stock as I walked through their inventory. Plus they are great guys to deal with.
