The relay and fuses in my 400SE are just wedged under the glove box along with the ECU. None of these are fixed to anything. When the under dash panel is dropped they all fall out. They are just connected to the wires and nothing else. This is my first TVR and I assumed they were all like that. But the other day I found what looked like the remains of a bracket fixed to the bulkhead and that set me wondering. Are these usually fixed in some way or are they normally loose? If they are fixed, does anyone have any photos to show me where and how they are fixed, because space under there looks very tight and the wiper motor is under there too and I don't want anything shorting out on that!

I use my wiper motor to loop the luggage strap over, that holds flap that holds the ECU and bits up off the passengers feet. Never noticed a bracket but then I have never really looked.

The relays plug into interlocking bases that can be assembled to form a panel. Once done, standoffs can be clipped in that allow the whole assembly to be mounted to the car. What usually happens on the wedges is that monkeys riving around with the electrics rip the relay panel off its standoffs. If you can find all the bits you can reassemble it and it shoud be obvious where it mounts. Just try to avoid sticking screws through the wires... wink
Incidentally I think it's this modular assembly that often leads to cars having a different relay layout to what's shown on the diagram...
