Went to York at the weekend in the Yellow Peril. Took it nice and steady all the way there / 55 on the motorway / really realxing / No probs. On the way back the old girl develope a 'very' slight missfire / hesitation in the low rev range. Gave it some stick to see if it was just a fouled plug or something but it did not go away. I'm having some new manifolds fitted ( You there Richard !! ) I had a new stainless exhaust but the joint between manifold and exhaut is crap because of knackered manifold... Could this be upsetting somethong ? Sorry about the typing ... 2 many whiskies after work !!

Hi Nick
Doubt if its the exhaust. More likely a slightly fouled plug. Mine does this when I've been pottering instead of snarling about!
The other likely choice is your plug leads slowly breaking down due to the underbonnet heat. Its a common thing on wedges apparently. I replaced mine with 8mm magnecores last year and they really smoothed things out. Easy job, and they look luverly

If you mean the down pipe from the manifold to thr exhaust pipe? The 350 blew for years, both side, never being able to seal it properly and never had any running problems just stank the car out.
As for the other, the 400 started doing that and it was the center distributer lead loose, as in not big enough to fit the hole, wedged a screwdiver in to widen it and Bobs you mother brother. Can't say thats the same problem as you have though....

New manifolds, will you be flying out to Switzerland to collect the money?
Sealing putty drinks cans and Jubilee clips held mine together for three years, no running problems or leaks.

Mild Steel from RT Racing. Stainless ones are to expensive for me but the steel ones are reasonably priced. At least they must be because the missus has agreed to them. In my book that means they must be a bargain !!
