Look like my rad is shot.

had a very small puddle of water under the car,

Took the rad out and it seems to have a very small leak, only showing under pressure.

But I think I'll get an ali one made.

I think It was TVRcarparts who said if I send it to them they can make me a Ali one for £400 ish.

I will do this monday, unless anyone can recomend anyone else.

Seems a bit excessive!
I Had my rad repaired for £38. Although i took it to a local motor factors I believe they used Serk Marston. From new there had been a steel blanking plate covering up a hole near the otter switch. I think it had been silver soldered in but the joint was cracked and seeping. They did a brilliant repair and the rad looks like new.

Repair is cheaper, even a recore. I spoke to them (TVR car parts for same) recently and I think there is a good few bob missing off that price you mention excluding the cost of fans? Or was I quoted wrong?

Well it seems to leak where at the core's join. so will need a re-core, and that's about 120.

I can't see why I can't use the existing fan on the Ali rad.

I think steve Heath paid about 600 for his Ali rad for his monster, so not sure if its that expensive. it's all relitive. plus I plan on keeping the car, and have done a loads of mods, and detailing so an Ali rad would look good on the car.
