Well if there was only one 350i auto made then I have it! and it hasnt been stolen yet!
I think that blue one being auctioned was converted from a manual car although its hard to tell without seeing it in the flesh. The chequer plate brake pedal on their pics would never have been fitted by TVR and might be a giveaway. Also the auto gear change surround has never been finished off by the looks of it.It does have the same Rover gear change lever as mine though.
When I was looking for an automatic wedge a few years ago I was told about a blue one that was for sale. It needed work and I didnt have time to play. I reckon its the same car.

Apparently there were two left hand drive 450 Automatics built. They never had the Rover autobox fitted but something special. They were both shipped abroad to the middle east i believe and at least one is back in the UK. I think its in Norfolk now. The guy emailed me a picture a while ago but I accidently deleted the email. It was fitted with side pipe exhausts and was a good one.
Hey I hope you lot realise that automatic wedges are rarer than SEAC's!!! lol

The green one belongs to Tim: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/profile.asp?memberId=1674&name=

There's a pic. in my profile - Tim's is the one on the left - only B&W though. No-one seems to know what happened to the red one though.

I allready need a bigger garage.
Plus starting at 1.5K I don't think so.

Esp as there is some engine damage plus a 85k on the clock.

If it was <600 I'd be tempted to strip it for parts.
but there's not that many good parts on the car, that can't be got else where.

only good is parts are Wheels, roof, rear lights. boot. and front breaks.

By the looks of things I'm not sure if the breaks work wink

Yes it does have side exit exhausts, but only since Tim had the system fitted due to ground clearance issues. . . Blows all the crud out of the gutter when you follow him through towms smile

I remember buying some part worn tyres from a disabled chap, IIRC in South Yorkshire, around 15 years ago (or more!). He had an auto wedge by necessity, I wonder if that car is known. I think it was a light gold colour.

I had a 280i america spec in yellow, it was originally blue supplied from devon / cornwall way. I did some reserch and there was approx 11 280s (the last ones) that came out of the factory after the licence to sell to the states fell through. Mine I believe was the last one, I thought it was a bit under powered, Dame should of got a 350, but the body on the 280i american spec looked better then the 350, and it had the dash very similar to the bigger engined ones, 4 dials in the center rather then 5. I sold it to a chap in Belgiem. he put a cosworth engine in it ( well it was crying out for more power)I saw it up for sale last year.

Oh well, need more cash to buy a proper one.
