420 SE for sale!

Interestingly the steering wheel works fine , if not very well.
If you just think about where your hands spend most of their time on a steering wheel and how you turn you might just get to understand without physically trying it!
I drove it home with the wheel as it is withou trying it beforehand, and I've had it like that for going on for four years.
As I say, the original round wheel comes with the car.

Well! That just goes to show you doesn't it!
I thought I'd take a look at changing the ad to sell the car as a '420 SE' to see the reaction from the usual bods on here. Nuffink! About right for the usual cabal of smart-alecs and knowalls!
The original decription of the car was accurate and legally correct.
The ad may now be withdrawn.
And for all you shouters and screamers - get out more! Or at least get a new hobby. Go and find an innocent old pensioner to beat up. Kick the nearest dog. Drown a cat. That is about the measure of you.
Oh yes - and one of you may be getting sued.

Seriously JJ, it's a pity it's all gotten a bit out of hand. I wish you well, but maybe the time is right to move on for everyone eh? Good luck with the sale. Nothing can change the fact that its a fine looking wedge in the pictures, and VERY rare, whatever it is.

To all of you I will say that if you have an opinion on the car then you must remain free to express that opinion. I would not and do not wish to try to influence your right to free expression.
My indication of possible further action relates to one individual and one individual only who made seriously incorrect and libellous remarks about myself. These remarks were , in addition, made in a rather vociferous manner. It is only because of that that further action may be necessary - against that individual only.
As regards the car, I stated at the very beginning, at the time I purchased the car and the differences were discussed on here, that if the car turned out be a 420 SE then so be it.
I have openly discussed the evidence in all directions - for example that is has worn 420 SE badges - in the past. For some reason, unfortunately, some people seem to forget all this, and charge headless along their own chosen little byway. That is what brings about the heated discussions - and you will note that I have not taken part in the recent thread.
When we drive our lovely cars we all remember to change gear when accelerating away to reach our desired speed, or to change down to suit changing road conditions or when approaching a bend. So why not engage brain before opening mouth?
Carry on discussing the car. I shall watch with in interest. You never know, some factual information may emerge!
