Hi All,

I'm going to take the Plenum of my 450SE, to do some general cleaning and tidying in, on, and around the engine, relpace anyting that looks tired etc, seems straight forward enough but I have never done this on the TVR before, so I though I'd just ask, any gotchas, things to look out for, or worth doing while it's off (that don't involve copious amounts of cash!), there's nothing in the bible about this so any info advice will be much appreciated. Cheers, Rich.

you may want to take the hot spot off them plem. and join the two hoses together.
You need to put the rear 2 screw's back in with some sealant.

Do a search if you want to see pic's or more info.

your also need some HYLOMAR UNIVERSAL BLUE GASKET SEALER to put it back on with.
Also you may want to get some stainless bolts, if you want everything to look clean.

Don't drop anything down the intake while it's apart. I mean, be seriously excessively paranoid about anything that could conceivably be dropped being anywhere near the engine while you're taking apart, tape the openings over ASAP. If anything gets in there you'll find it extremely difficult to get it out again, and if you don't notice then you can easily lunch your engine when you come to start it.

Thanks guys thumbup, I did feel like it was a bit on a numpty question, but, I thought, you never know what someone might come up with, it's always worth asking the question, too late when you've messed something up.
