Does anyone know of a good garage/mechanic familiar with wedges in the Northampton or Milton Keynes areas please? I've not long had mine, and my usual garage won't touch it!

I have several rather urgent repairs that need doing before I can drive it (throttle cable's knackered, fuel tank pours petrol everywhere, drivers windows fallen out of the door, several electrical gremlins - you know, the normal things). Still, at least the engine seems basically sound - although now I've said that I'll probably get home and find it lying on the floor of the garage in a pool of oil!

Cheers

Sorry don't know any garages in that area. Just wanted to say I have just bought a 350i with a few not working, broken and leaky bits as well.
Still can't wait to finish work go home and play with her!! (Ooer)
Welcome to the fold.

Thanks, but I think Joospeed are 90 miles away - I'm not sure my car will make it that far (although if I broke down I could always get the AA to take me the rest of the way!)

Someone's just recommended Top Cats in Bicester, so I booked myself in. Couldn't get in until July though - they must be good if they're that busy! I shall let you know how I get on.

Don't quote me, but I'm not sure that Joolz is all that keen on working on Wedges
I think his area of expertise lies more with the late models.

To be fair, a lot of your faults could probably be fixed by yourself or someone of a vaguely mechanical background: Wedges aren't exactly rocket science...

Well, I've ordered the Wedge Bible, so when that turns up I may well have a go at a few things myself. If you see a large mushroom cloud in the general direction of Northampton, that'll be me then!

If you can get to Leicester then try Simon Skeggs. He is a Jaguar specialist but can do all cars especially interesting ones! He sorted my brake upgrade no problems. He's in Whetstone, not far from Fosse Park. Ring him on 0116 2751109.

I'll take a look at it if you want, I've had my 350 6 years and have rebuilt / replaced nearly everthing on it so I know my way around the cars.
I'm in Duston Northampton, e-mail me if your're interested
