After being unable to sort out my stall/no retart problem on my 280i FHC, my mechanic and I decided to carburate the car. Using on Offenhauser manifold, Holley 4 barrel carb., low pressure fuel pump, and some creative redoing of the fuel lines, the car has run great for the last 2 months and is presently functioning as a reliable daily driver. Is this the first 280c?

I guess so judging by responses..

What differences have you noticed, positive or negative,(apart from the fact that it goes now )with the holley instead of injection? Have you put your foot down yet?

interested to know in case mine has similar troubles.

Overall it seems to have better mid-range tourque. The sound at idle is superior. Gas mileage down to about 10mpg.

Your conversion to carburetion is not the first on a V6 wedge. There have been several done here in the States that I am aware of, which means there must be some more of which I am not aware.
Glad it's working well for you.
