Broke 2 at the weekend whilst playing with the internals of the door, does anybody know what they come from?

They are the plastic clips that tie the linkages to the door lock mechanism.

They are still avalible, I bought some from Adrian Venn, 6 or 12 months ago. Try Adrian at Exactly TVR. I have known him for many years, a nice guy.

Regards,

Chris.

what he said, just remember they are made out of the most brittle plastic known to man so if you make the trip to the scrappie get as many as you can.

I have these blue plastic door clips in stock if you can't find them on that side of The Pond.

You can e-mail me at cmw-tvr@cox.net

I managed to get 4 from the local ford dealer. Less fun than scrap yard hunting, although all my local scrappies are warehouse types where they disappear to get the parts rather than you turn up with your toolbox - which is nowhere near as much fun!

Aye, they blame it on H&S nonsense but really it's to make sure you aren't putting ECUs in your underpants and filling your socks with fuses and relays... <cough>... hehe

Yeah but then they knew you were filling up your pockets. I think that before the HSE bollixed it up it was like a natural form of erosion so that the scrappy would have to work less. With each new influx of people after a left handed thingamabob all the other little bits would vanish that other wise needed painstaking removing when business was slack. Now its needed to make money cos the regs are so tight.

I remember trying to find the column stalk coller for a mark 2 escort, years ago, 2 cars in the scrap yard one on the ground, coller had gone already! Other one was 3 cars up in the air, climbed up the cars with tool box in hand and got the coller I was after.... what a buzz!

Not sure i would do it now. Still youth is wasted on the young!
