I had to go up the top end of the village this morning to look at the wife's jeep that was in the MOT station (knackered horn). I ran out of petrol just before I got there so I stuck in about 3/4 gallon I had in the boot. Then I drove down to the petrol station at the bottom of the village, according to google maps it's 1.8 miles, and I ran out AGAIN just before I got there! So I had to walk the last 200 yards with my can!!

That's 1.8mi for 3/4gal = 2.4mpg. Eeek!

That's absolutely appalling, there's no way I'd put up with that.

Boy you must have thick pipes there ! How big a swirl pot did you put on, as mine looks like it will hold about 1/2 a litre then maybe another 1 - 2 litres in the pipes feeding the swirl and injector rail. Either that or you run very rich on cold start smile

Well, it may only be 1.8 mi the direct way, but by the time youve done a few tunnel runs and a few laps of the local twisties....
