bought 84 350i ten wks ago have to admit after reading
some of the horror stories locked myself in garage for 2 days wife also reads and was hovering with box of swan vestas.
first problem boiling up, found pipe bleed from expansion tank where overflow pipe should be plus igninition timing @ 28 degrees.
hesitation right across rev range changed all obvious plugs,leads,dizzy cap, coil,air filter,fuel filter, had hydrocarbons checked all clear.
took trip up the road 25mls to dje changed throttle pot,dizzy vacuum. ace man checked a few other items
declared it a fit motor.
i have done 1500 trouble free miles since but also feel my company mondeo tdci would outpace in the mid range. await your comments.
