Can anyone recommend a spray or something for cleaning my cars hood? Mine has no damage rips or tears other than stains and marks. The solid top part has an area where it has rubbed against something rusty in the boot by the previous owner. Just looks unsightly, and i don't want to make it worse by using the wrong stuff. Hopefully something that can bought in Halfords.
Cheers all..!

Mine wasn't that bad but a scrub with water, dried it then used thompsons water proofer for bricks (does fabrics as well, check the back of the can) and it looks a lot better, newer and water proof to boot. Stinks to buggery when applying so I would do it outside if poss.

I think dealers and specialists will probably sell it, although it may be cheaper to order directly.

I did my roof with the shampoo, then the 'reviver' and also used the plastic window polish, and the result was quite amazing.

Then used Thompsons to waterproof.

I bought tompsons after it has been recomended on several threads and it was to hand at the local DIY. Made the mistake of leaving the internal garage door adjar and boy did it stink the place out. Scary bit it says you can do sleeping bags and ground sheets with it. Supose you are guaranteed a tent to your self. Smell does wear off in a day or 2.
