Gentlemen, i am sad..I have just sold my Ducati 916!!!! I couldn't ride anymore due to a bad back. Anyway blah blah blah (no sorrow story).
I have £5000 grand now burning a hole in my pocket. I own a (just recently bought) 350i with a few niggles, which i love!
Should i spend on a full restoration?
Part restoration and the rest on the engine?
OR
ALL on the engine? Mmmmm!
OR sell and buy a bigger wedge?
Decisions decisions...i do love my 350i wedge though.
My decision lays with the forum.

Sorry to hear about your bad back.
I would hazard a bigger Wedge. By the time you upgrade this then have to do that because you upgraded this etc, its all sorted on a 400, unless you like spannering and want to keep the car (if I had the time and money I would have kept my 350 as well. Just my view so don't take it as gospel.

Definiely go for the bigger wedge if you can and before you put too much money into your 350i. You will only regret it everytime you see a 400se etc. This is how I felt after I bought my 350se, even though it was very nice and had a 3.9l engine. I couldn't afford a big wedge at the time. Now made up for it with the SEAC
.
David Gerald have a very nice looking 430se. Maybe you could strike a deal?

Your teasing me now...! Also feeling guilty about 350 wedge sat in me garage.! (she does have feelings you know?)
I felt guilty when I had my 350 on the drive as well as the 400, 400 won every time (only had insurance on the 350 for parking intill sold). Still, 10 years or so with the same car and when it went
sniff..........sorry can't talk about it.......sniff. Seriously the 350's are loverly cars but I felt I needed, oh alright then, lusted after a bigger one. I knew that to upgrade the power on a trailing arm wedge was a can of worms so looked for a 400 and bought another can of worms but hey ho its sorted now. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time, sorry, me and the missis had a great time over the years with it but the only thing up from 400 for me is the SEAC. Annoyingly they are now within reach and being sold after buying my 400.
There a good few 400's on the classified's.
Waynester,
I understand your dilemma fully - had a run of bikes for a while, sold the last due to pressure from 'er in doors, gutted as was enjoying running the bike with the 400 (overdraft depending) - then thought long and hard about upgrading the 400/selling for Griff etc. Stuck with the old girl (400 that is) and not really looked back. For my money get a 400 - the 350 will become a fond memory in the journey to bigger wedge ownership.
