So bought myself a 2+2 350i in white off ebay the other week...came with no history....previous owner has mislaid the inch thick history file outling the chasis work etc etc...so I am trying to get my head around a few things...this may be a longish thread!

First thing is which white's did they use at that period...and yes I know that you could poss have any shade you wanted...although not sure that was the case at this time...where they Ford shades...here is a piccie...although it will be little help..

Thanks in advance Steve.G.

Not that it will make any difference....the TVR white is just that, base white with no tinters....WHITE...BUT, given that the white has faded/degraded you will need to get the car colour matched.

In the case of the wedges built during that period, the factory simply called the color "White". There were also references to "Alpine White" which is what is on my 1987 280i, and there was a "Pearl White", but predominantly the color was simply listed as "White".

Oh yeah, silly me!

I think Ford Glacier white is a colour that hasnt been used for a long time and I only thought of the colour because its the same white that my cousin used on his Mk2 Escort years ago...a glorious colour too
