What Rev said, braided hoses are possibly the best value for money brake upgrade you can do IMO

Can't say I noticed much difference upon fitting mine. Which quite surprised me as every other car I have owned has had them and they made a huge difference. Either the servo hides the feel of the improvement or my original rubber hoses weren't all that squidgy? Definitely agree that it is worth while doing.

Put it on the list of things to declare to your ins co to cover yourself. Wont make any difference to the premium with a decent company but closes a get-out for paying what's due!

I have just ordered a set of Goodridge hoses unless there are any others better suited for the job?

Don't think there is much to choose between them functionally. Mine are Goodridge and it was four lines though obviously only three are required. Would be interesting to know if they have updated their kit now?

I notice nowhere you specifically mention braided hoses for the brakes, alshough we all assume thats when you mean as your playing with your suspension? scratchchin

I'm not being pedantic, the only reason I am posting is on the offchance you are considering braided hoses for your petrol pipes. If so, don't! Once you braid your petrol hoses, you cannot see and splits / cracks / perrishing. The net result is that you don't know they have split until you have petrol spraying all over very hot exhaust mannifolds and your P&J goes up in flames! By then its too late.

I've had to strip out the hub & brakes as part of my suspension overhaul so I thought I'd swap over the brake lines whilst I had the opportunity to do so. I've got 4 pots on and they are in very good condition compared to the rest of the stuff which is all rusted up pretty bad.

I don't have any intention of touching the fuel lines with the exception of possibly changing the swirlpot when I move on to the rear suspension in due course....

I have aeroquip aircraft grade brake, clutch and fuel hoses all through on the 450, if they are good enough for a eurofighter then they should be good enough for me, they must have cost a previous owner a small fortune. I agree with Lee when it comes to overbraided hoses, not a good idea for fuel

Any Idea where you can get the clutch hose from.

Thanks

Why would you need one ..

Mine is a solid pipe and you cannot get any expansion from that.

Well I not got one on the RC, and would be easier to route, and less likly to break with all the vibrations.

Give Tim at ACT a call, I reckon he should be able to make most hoses up (might be wrong though). Worth a try.
