Is this car still about ?
I saw mention of this on one of the exsting wedges thread owned by 'ralph', but could not find the member on th epostonheads directory.
I owned the car from 87 to 94 and I'd love to hear if its still going.
When I sold it it had the registration A208 NJK, and was the last (or last but one) of the 6 V8 2+2s.
Cheers
Dave

May be referring to Ralph Dodds...TVRCC PR man?
Anyway why the interest do you have one yourself...you bought one at the beginning of December...I think mine is number two...although still awaiting feedback from the Richard from the TVRCC
I sold the car in 1994 so just keen to see if its still going after all these years. Was my first proper performance car, and my first taste of big service bills !
I was keen to get a V8 FHC and stumbled across it in 1987 in Brighton. Couldn't believe I had found a +2 when I learnt that there were only 6.
Some issue with mine were:
- fuel tank, being different for a +2 and it was huge > 15 gallons ?), but I dare not put in more than 10 gallons else it all came out at the first corner. Also on a hot day if left in a carpark it would pressurize itself and spew out half a gallon.
- camshaft wore down 3 lobes which acted as a rev limiter
- fans failed which I replaced with ones from a Lancia Thema !
- always smelt of petrol inside (traced to a fuel tank split)
- oil pump failed causing some issues with the bottom end
- on a trip to the south of France the fuel gauge stopped working at Calais and had to resort to guessing when to fill up.
- once locked itself with engine running and me outside.

Right this makes sense now...mine has a large tank just behind the rear seats...will take on board your experiences...keep the fuel level down, make sure it vents...and leave the sunroof open in the summer when poss.I was keen to get a V8 FHC and stumbled across it in 1987 in Brighton. I was thinkingabout getting hold of some film for the inside of the rear glass to try and combat heat issues...not sourceed it yet, but know they can be like a greenhouse...i can see that from the way carpets have faded before I took them out!
Mine came with no paperwork what so ever

What chassis number is yours ? - mine was 2FH5599-RI.
I knew of one other in light blue metallic, that had a lower chassis number but was built in 1984.
