I just ran some wires to behind my consul in preperation for an extra switch.
I will be "re doing" my veneer soon, so I thought I would disconnect a switch to see how easily they come out.
Is there a trick to unplugging the plugs from the back of the switches. Mine seem quite difficult to remove.
Yes I did flip out the little white bits!
all I seemed to accomplish was more flaking veneer.

Are the Switches easily available, I'll need one on/off and a new blower switch.

They can be very tough to remove, and yes I lost bits of the veneer when I took mine out!

And what Danny didn't mention.... the switches might be a little difficult to get hold of... They are Lucas switches and the only place I've seen them used other than TVR's is on public people carriers.

Please post the results of your search.

Brian (and a Red 350i)

They also crop up on triumph TR7s. They are very expensive, and lucas changed the design of the rocker, so a new one will be smooth instead of the ridged. I'm still looking for an interior light toggle switch.

Can anyone confirm the lucas part nos. re the switches
Blower fan Lucas 33939 A
Hazad lights Lucas 33829 A (for on/off switch)

Also anyone know any likely places in North Devon as my
brother is about to visit the states, he could bring them over along with the Branston Pickle!

I will also try here,(New Jersey), thanks for the TR 7 pointer.

Pretty certain the 33939A is the same fan switch as in the V8S, 3 position 2 speed fan , mine was fcuked I took it apart, cleaned up the contacts, re moulded some of the plastic, it worked . Fully intended to change it, but as it still works I haven't, that was in Jan this year . Have a look it may still be repairable.
