Hello,

Got the car out last weekend and the clutch pedal had no pressure :-(

I took the driver's seat out so I could change the master cylinder. I was expecting a split pin through the clevis pin (?) where the fork meets the clutch pedal. There's not a split pin - something else !

How do I remove it ? Don't want to force it and break it !

cheers, Richard.

Try a drawing if no pic.rivetting it would be a very odd way off holding it in place as access would not permit it.Tempus smile

It may be seized like mine was? if you follow the part to the clevis pin you will find it looped around it, if it is seized with oxidization or something you can always unscrew the clutch master cylinder pushrod out of the back?
If you also look on your brake pedal connections its the same arrangement there and may find it dislocates a lot easier to help familiarise yourself with how it works

That looks much like mine does. If it's the same, the pin has a spring clip attached to the end which wraps around the pedal shaft and holds it in place. Just unclip the spring part from the pedal and twist the pin, which will then pull out. It might take a little persuation at that point...

Hi Dicky,
Its hard to tell from your pics but it looks to me that the pivoting clip has been snapped off the lever that holds the pin in. I'm guessing its seized like mine was as I was close to snapping it off when I tried to remove mine. I can see the nut behind, just unscrew this a bit and then the pushrod inside the nut, this will then release it from the padal.

...my pic is the same pin, just the other side of the pedal

Being a dinosaur i cnnot post a pic. but what you have is a pin, fastened to a plate with a clip on the end and it should come out by un-clipping the clip off the fork and hitting the pin on the plain end with a pin punch.Tempus smile
