i recently purchased a 86 (c) tvr 350 i.this one seems to differ slightly from others ive seen.for example it radiator is held on by two countersunk screws at the nose of the car.it is also very large and seems to have different coneections to the other radiators ive seen.has anyone got a tvr like this and is this setup ok?

My previous car ('85) 350i had the counter sunk screws in the bodywork to hold the radiator in position.

My A reg had them. The screw bits. On mine they stopped it rattling around. The rad was suported from the bottom.

Sounds a bit tacky! Maybe the lower mounts are past their sell-by date. My '97 car has no such bodgery. I think the rad has been changed for a different type to the original: it sits on a bracket at the bottom and is supported at either side by a bracket to the plywood reinforcing webs inboard of the headlamps.

On mine it sat in a moulding. Can't remeber if it was part of the lower spoiler that unbolted.
