280i right side window motor

The gears of my right side window motor are stripped. Can I replace the gear or do I need a new motor? Anyone know where I can get these parts?

Replace as a whole. I'm failry certain that the motor is Rover SDI although on another thread someone said that his weren't. I'd be tempted to take the old one off (4 bolts behind the door pull) and take it down to the local scrapyard. Rimmers did have some 2/H ones in stock 2 years ago but wanted £70 each + VAT etc and the problem then apparently is that there were 3 different types fitted to an SDI...

There is another thread about someone who has a couple of seized windows - might be worth you exchanging parts.

I have one with a stripped gear and would welcome a broken one that someone is going to bin - to build up a spare
