Right guys - I'm down to my last bit of restoration which happens to be the rear calipers and handbrake. I don't fancy doing it myself so the plan is to book the car in get the rear brakes sorted for an MOT. I'm in North London so I have a choice - would anyone care to provide an opinion on where to get the work done?

If they have closed.
It must have been very recent, and a shame.

It's quite an easy job to DIY. if you have some axel stands, and a few spanners.

TVR barnet have got a lot of good reviews though. would not say they are perfect, but not sure if anyone is. wink
plus I had a slight questionable job done by them 13 years ago. but as said im a bit of a perfectionist and take 4 times longer on every job than the stated time. so I think I lot of people would not be happy with the labour charges if they did as I do.

I though Tower View had moved out to Suffolk or Norfolk somewhre?

Anyway, if you're reasonably competent with the spanners, you should be able to take the rear calipers off yourself. Exchange calipers are approx. £65 each plus vat from a motor factor - I wouldn't even bother with trying to change the seals and pistons. Get new discs on their whilst the calipers are off, plus renew the handbrake pads, which is dead simple. Unless its already been done, change the rubber hose for a braided version as well.

Good luck.
