hi, i have just removed my dash and centre console, it it fairly easy to unclip the clocks etc of their wires, which luckily are all tie wrapped together for each instrument, all of my clocks had +,- and ground etc marked on the back where spade connectors had been used and TVR even seemed to use a fairly easy to understand wiring.
The reason i removed mine was to put the clocks switches and lights surface mount instead of behind the veneered bit, the console plate on a 350 requires filing slightly to alow the switches to go through but so far the clocks in the dash and all the other bits seem to go in straight away. I am just waiting for the paint to dry on the bezels before i re assemble it.
I have used carbon fibre from stuarts F1 or something on ebay, with the instruments behind the dash it looked tatty with fraid edges, i was having trouble getting a bezel kit so it thought sod it i will fit them on the outside, seems a great mod with realy no drawbacks, in fact now 1 instrument can be removed with out taking the hole panel off.
sorry for the ramble
all the best
