Hi everyone,
Just bought myself a 350i Wedge, so I thought I'd join this forum and introduce myself.
I've been involved in the rallying scene for the last 10 years, and built myself a few rally cars, including a Talbot Sunbeam and a 106 Rallye. Now I've started navigating instead, so I need a new car to tinker with!
The TVR has been stuck in a garage for the last 3 years, so it needs a bit of recommissioning. The clutch slave cylinder was seized so I couldn't test-drive the car, so I took a bit of a gamble buying it. I've changed it now, and touch wood, it all seems to drive OK!
Next job is to get an MOT on it, and put some miles on it! Hopefully I'll get it all up and running in a couple of weeks, and then I can start thinking about doing a few sprints in it. I wonder if I can beat Steve Heath in the 520???
Chris
Welcome to the mad house! For goodness sake don't think of converting the Wedge to Rally in - I did and 6 years later and £loads later it's still not finished and every day I wonder if I'm mad!!
Enjoy the Wedge - why not come to Mania at Bruntingthorpe next Saturday (9th) to see the rest of the TVR brigade (though there will be the "run of the mill" TVR's there as well!

Won't be able to make Mania cos I'm in Korea with work for a couple of weeks.
But the Berkshire TVR monthly meet is just down the road from me, so I'll definitely go to that.
I know what you mean about prepping a rally car. It will NEVER be finished - so just fit the cage, extinguishers and so on, and get it logbooked and MOT'd! Sod the paint job, engine mods and trick suspension - they can wait.
I've got a few bits to do to my Wedge before I can start using it - so far the list is water pump, radiator, and new front screen. Then I'll drive it and see what else falls off....
