NEW SEAC MEMBER
Discussion
Hi All,
I am the proud new owner of a 450 SEAC.
I was just wondering if anyone could give me a bit of advice.
The car has been laid up for the last seven years and it is currently going through its MOT. Can anyone tell me what I should be looking out for with regards to the engine after being laid up for so long. It has had a full engine rebuild but as yet it is not run in.
Thanks very much
Steve.

Welcome Steve - was it the blue one with OZ wheels ?
WRT to running in:
don't leave it idling
Engine speed should be varied as much as possible whilst not over revving i.e. change up early
Foot off the loud pedal to allow engine breaking
Lee Hodgkins old one on your data base.WRT to running in:

Thanks for your info.
The car is the one with the OZ wheels. Looking to replace with originals at some point. Can't wait to get it home and give it some TLC.
It is the original engine that was rebuilt so unfortunately I will have to take it easy!!!!!! As you said no foot on the gas for a while until it is bedded in. SHAME!!!!!!!!
Regards Steve

Don't know what your rear wheel driving experience is but it could be a good thing that you have to take it easy. These cars can seriously turn around and bite you up the arse. The car is the one with the OZ wheels. Looking to replace with originals at some point. Can't wait to get it home and give it some TLC.
