Mikeb , http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/404029.htm Its similar colour to your 450se too , looks an evil machine ! Don't forget the running costs of the speed six ! Bottomless pit ? Anyway I would think most on here want you back in the wedge fold fairly quick , you could always get one of those 450se's if the seac isn't the one !

Well, had a guy come and look at the Griff today, polished it up a bit and took it out for a blast in the snow storm!
He seemed interested enough will let me know if he's having it tomorrow, then the world's the preverbial.......
So the options are:-
Wait for Combine to come to his senses (and sell me his SEAC)!
Wait for Daz to come to his senses (and sell me mine back)!
Wait for Dicky to come to his senses (and do me a deal on his)!
....otherwise it may be a girlie car.......
Decisions, decisions.

Thats crazy....looking through the threads on that tamora forum, all that talk of engine rebuilds like its something every car should deal with!!
I have to admit, i have a real soft spot for the tamora, and would be my weapon of choice if i wanted to get a 'new style' tiv but the speed 6 really puts me off...
Why oh why oh why did they ever start putting anything less than a v8 in TVRs?? Thats what they became known for!!
Im sure they are quick, but (and i stand to have lots of nasty things thrown at me) the exhaust note is verges over the fence between loud and 'noise' and also loses all the muscle sound of a V8....
If they wanted more power, why not start building them with new chevys??!

I agree Matt , they look interesting , the question is will an RV8 fit and it needs a proper exhaust system not the single branch jobbie .Oh , and there is the little matter of around £15k min plus taking out the speed six and a different exhaust system , call it £22k min ! Think I'll have a wedge !Edited by combine on Sunday 23 March 07:41
The 450SE I had was subject to an £8.5k engine blueprint, balance and upgrade (not by me though) and looking at the nine or so pages of work carried out which were attached to the final bill ended up with a car that was more than a little tuned.
Therefore everytime I turned the radio on, looked out of the window or started to think about what I was having for tea that night you would end up the wrong way around! dry roads, wet roads it didn't matter.
Normally if you push the envelope in a car and you have a 'moment' you know what you did wrong - took the corner too fast, too fast into a round about etc, with the 450SE, sooner or later you would wind up through a hedge backwards, up side down and NOT know what you did wrong! It would just snap.
Bloody thing was a missile.

Answer to this one is get a less tuned wedge , still cheaper and more reliable than a Tamora .
