went to Carpet Right today, bought 4 sqyds of Nice blue for the interiour, and 8sqyds of boot carpet.

Total cost was only £50 for the lot.
Hope to buy the biggest tin of sticky stuff tomorrow.
I hope to make a pattern for the inside too, so I can if required cut more patterns.

have also found a nice company that will enge them for me to give the professional touch.

Total cost, estimated at £140 for a complete set of carpets, and boot.

I'd agree with Jason above. Bought a cracking dark green Wilton from my local carpet warehouse roll ends and used the old carpets that I took out as patterns. Total cost £120 including the professional bindings.

If you're looking for a good carpet adhesive, Dunlop Thixofix is not bad. I am told that it is the retail version of a trade adhesive that is designed for relatively high temperatures inside a car such as alongside the transmission tunnel.

Carpets should be ready next week.

I need to cut the pieces for the rear shelf, and the floor mats to be sent off and the edges bound, then its down to getting them in the car.
Hope to get some pix when im doing it.

Right, Carpet update.
Bought 2 litres of Dunlop Thixofix from Woolies at the Beaulieu AutoJumble yesterday.
Have started marking out the carpet shapes, boot first.
Spoke to a few trimmers yesterday who offered a trimming service, so will be following up those contacts later this week.
Also Plan to create a lip on the shelf in the boot.
Pix to follow

Just a tip. Make sure when you mark out your carpets you set your patterns according to the grain. Otherwise you'll get a shaded effect.

Didn't know you could use household carpet inside a car. You got me thinking now!!
