Shadowfax sounds OK... pops on the upchange & a nice note to the exhaust. The secret (closely guarded) appears to NOT just put straight through pipe on. I would take advice that has already been offered to you from another 450SE owner

The 450 SE does not have a back box.. just a large silencer in the middle of the car.

I will show you on Sunday (if Angie lets me out)

Straight through pipes may make alot of noise but not nice noise IMHO. They had an adverse effect on performance when I had them on

I have a straigh thru pipe inside the box and it sounds good at high rpm but everywhere else the std system sounds better..

and do not forget: even 4-stroke engines need some backpressure from the exhaust. otherewise you can loose power (mainly torque).
