Hi

I am currently looking for a 400 se (some of you may have seen my earlier post) but I have come across this 350 se

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/405141.htm

I know there are some visual differences between the two models but what about driving experience/ sound?

Any comments much appreciated

Personally I prefer the more 'macho' flared arches on the 400SE, and nicer dash arrangement.

350SE is (as far as I'm aware), 350i with 390SE motor, so good power and pops and bangs on overrun.

They all sound good. smile

Hi,
You are already aware of the cosmetic differences.
The engines are NCK '400' Hotwire. Plenum says 390 (as do many 400se's) but bore and stroke is as TVR 400's not the older 390's, which are bored and uprated 350's.

Engine similar spec to pre cat (non serp) Griffs'.
Drive and sound great - massive torque.

They are both great looking Wedges, just down to colour choice really. 350SE's are rare cars and undervalued IMHO.

Gandalf - I am sure I will miss the car, moreso the collectiveness of Wedge owners though.

The Tam on the other hand is a cracking car, love it to bits
