Ok, first wedge I asked about is too far away and under advice too much dosh so, does anyone have any info on this red 400 reg no. F976 MGD. The seller has owned it for 10 years so it's one from the past. Cheers.

It would help if you posted a link to the car to which you are referring.

Er, it's the red 400 on autotrader now, sorry that's the best I can do.

Yep, that's the one. Not sure these engines need modded heads to run unleaded though ?, and dropping the comp ratio seems like a backward step. I had a brief chat with the seller and he mentioned running more advance to try and regain the lost power.

Well, if it's not to your taste simply move on to the next car. You are correct: all fuel injected Rover V8 engines can run on unleaded.

I have to admit the colour is a bit bright for me but I wouldn't reject an otherwise great car just for that, and Tank Man told me about the unleaded situation as I don't have any experience on Rover V8s.
