Anyone know what make/model donated the front windscreen to the 1981/82 Tazmin?
not tempting fate, but want to be ready if mine goes.

So that means when(if)i phone autoglass, they will know what i am talking about. or is it from the factory only? I am trying to ID and source as many parts as i can, on the basis that if i am ready, it wount be needed.

Autoglass fitted a new one to mine a few weeks ago. They knew exactly what it was when i phoned even down to the colour band at the top. Their normal supplier couldn`t get one so it came from the factory, complete with TVR logo in the corner which the old one didn`t have, obviously been changed before for a non genuine part. It took them two weeks to get it but they made a blinding job with new trims as well. Only cost £50 as well thanks to insurance !!

Im on number 5 windscreen in the taz now...

so i've hunted around a bit.

they are tvr specific and its the same code from tasmin to seac...

autoglass wanted about 700 quid

but i've got all mine from cotswold windscreens and the last one was 200 quid

so 200-250 is the usual price.

It seems pointless to say it, but ... take out an insurance policy if not covered by your car insurance. Mind you, with a history like yours, insurers might be wary ... if they ask the question, that is!

mine is currently with Peninsula (suprise suprise) having a new screen fitted thanks to a nicely large french stone doing the buisness on the way back from Le Mans.
