Any idea why fibreglass doesnt hold its shine?
Every year i end up having to cut the bodywork then use pollish to get a decent shine but it only lasts about 2 weeks!
Mer seems to be the best.
Is it static build up?
Can I/should I get it laquered?
Any thoughts appeciated.

No problem with mine. Wax it every couple of month's and its fine. Paint job iffy?

I have had excellent results with Auto Glym but now using Zymol, again excellent. Never tried Mer.

Has it been repainted at any point ? TVR use 2 pack acrylic which should hold its shine, some colours are worse at holding shine, due to oxidisation. maybe it's been "cut back" too often, i.e metallics for example have a laquer coat over "flat" (dull) paint.

The paint job is original and red. (always assumed it to be a gel-coat)When it goes dull after about 2 weeks it does seem to look like its oxidising.
Ive tried many different polishes and come to the conclusion that the important thing is plenty of elbow grease and one panel at a time.
