My'89 350i has the original cross lattice alloys fitted. They are in excellent condition but i like the look of the bigger wedge split rims. I realize that they are rarer than rocking horse s**t!! Is it ok to put them on a 350 or is it a case of the car trying to look like something it's not?? If so is it ok to replace the lattice alloys with something more modern/bigger??
(Don't want to be frowned upon, as i am still in nappies as regards wedge knowledge!!)
Thanks all.

The later wheels should fit no problems ... as for
availability .. well rare I guess. Second hand
Tuscan race wheels are a good option.
Newer designs - well they often look good to the
person fitting them but sometimes don't suit the
car !
But it's your car - do what you want to do !!

I got some OZ split rims off Hans (he's posted on Wedgepages) which are 16x7 and look identical to the 400 items. They need spacers to fit a Wedge. They are off a Mercedes sold in Germany and I'm reliably told by Hans they are readily available or try Seamus on these pages as he may have a source. I have Azev's on my BBW (17") they are not original but those that have seen the car in the flesh think they're okay. I will fit a set of OZ's when I get a fourth to finish the set.

This is what I would be buying, pretty dam close to the oz wheels and any size you like.
