Fitted new window regulator today !
Discussion
To cure my problem of drivers window glass not lifting correctly-raising very slow and not fully closing.
I fitted a new/old stock window regulator-it was pretty easy the only thing that had me scratching my head was how to remove the door glass.
To remove tha glass you need to firstly remove the small fixed runner which which is behind the doorpull/armrest to the right of the door pull, this is held in place with a couple of 10mm locknuts.
You can now gently push down on the front of the door glass and angle it like this /
then pull the glass all the way out.
Once the glass is out the regulator is easy to remove-the rimmer bros one is identical to my 87 one except you have to drill a small hole to allow fitment of the upper limit cable.
Next project is to repair and paint my front spoiler and fitt my new driving lamps
