Hi all. My 280 seems to run quite hot around 105c, looks like the previous owner did a bodge on the cooling system and replaced the rad with one out of a Astra Deisel.
The rad has cold spots at the top, tried bleeding air out of the system but still no change. Also have flushed the system Back & Foward.
Would like to put the proper rad in the car but not sure what Tvr used for a 1981 model??
Any Ideas?

Problem sorted, Thanks Rev-erend, the rad had a few blocked bits. flushed the system with Wynns Cooling System Flush, running a treat at 80 Deg C.

Diesel's often had bigger rads - so it might actually be OK.. don't forget the anti freeze as it has corrosion inhibitor.

Yes, I was thinking that. Probably fitted as an improvement on the original,
but of course still needs to be kept efficient. smile
