Supercar Sunday today smile as of every year, they have a loudest car competition, and we came 2nd amongst various vipers, GT40s, catherams, hyabusa mini, transam, ferrari's lambo's.. the list goes on.

We was pipped to first by a big bad dodge viper, what a car! Butttttt, we was louderwink lol

Hey ho, cracking day out!

Only problm was being revved over 5,500rpm meant the fanbelt flew off! and it did this o the way home too!!! lucklily their was a blok across the road (asleep) coming home from a race meet with his big mg v8! wouldn't have got him without his tools, thankyou that man!!

No it wasnt a very scientific thing, just lots of revs and the crowd voted for the car they wanted to win... No sound measurement involved whatsoever...

Though glad my old Wedge came 2nd !!! And nice to see her in immaculate condition as always....

Good to meet you dc53...

Oh and Combine.... You may remember the Wedge from last year on the Diamond Rock sunday after the event had finished. At that time i owned it (Burgandy 450SE) we spotted each other on the dual carriagweway just outside of Rockingham... Waved like mad...lol

here you go Dan

Richard the guy who 'won' old viper measured 130db at a recent test we did one metre away, 45 degree angle to the tips max revs

his new viper today had exactly the same exhaust setup as his old car (running hi-flow cats) but the addition of a low boost supercharger

i was standing behind the middle of both wedge and viper and it was hard to tell any difference between the two cars, different notes of course but around the same volume level

Great to meet you too, nice too see an old owner smile She's going to stay immaculate, she'll be even nicer next time you see it! (if that's possible?) Just a few more little bits and bobs and it's going to be perfect cloud9

That looks and awful lot like the 450 I donated (and was compensated for) my spare fan belt at the Oxford services on the way to the Wedgefest a couple of years back. Was it?
