It must be Ford then. My Missus has a Mondeo and has the same problem. Now she wants to get rid of the car. No good replacing it with another Wedge.

Put the new Tea Tray wing on my SEAC - now that hurts when the boot drops - which it does intermittently.

You need uprated gas struts.

BTW - anyone any idea what struts are needed for 390SE boot with factory fitted wing? - Streaky
