I need to source a couple of parts for my 450 SE.
1. The rubber insert for the passenger door striker plate.
2. The joystick and toggle switch for the door mirrors.
All helpful suggestions will be welcome.
Thank you in anticipation.
The joystick and toggle switch for the mirrors is a ford item (has ford badge stamped into it if you take it out).1. The rubber insert for the passenger door striker plate.

If you take it to the ford dealers, you should get hold of one.
Make sure you make a note of which wire goes where before you disconnect though!
Success. I have sourced and fitted a replacement passenger door striker plate complete with rubber insert. Thanks to Neil at TVRCarParts.com who identified the Ford Part Number and thanks to Mick at MWR Capri who pleasantly and efficiently confirmed the part, despatched it to arrive the next day. Surprise, surprise, I fitted it myself.
The noises from the nearside door should have stopped as I also discovered the seat belt loop holder had come loose. A small step for any competant engineer; a giant leap for me.

Update -
Success, Neil sourced and delivered a replacement joystick and it works. Don't know why the other one didn't; I will take it apart and look. The door mirror motors have been replaced, ex Chimera, as well as the toggle switch, which is now under the steering coluimn, as the wiring is unfamiliar.
The little successes make all the difference to driving pleasure. Minimum bangs and rattles and no fluid leaks. Not bad for a pimped up 20 year old car and its a TVR. I think I should tell Clarkson.
