Gas Filler Cap for 280i

While having my tank filled up, the attendant failed to put on the gas cap. Hence I need to replace it does anyone know who made the gas cap and the replacement number? Seems difficult to find here in the US. Thanks.

A previous thread on here stated that TR7 locking filler caps fit. Never tried them myself but it might help.

Yep. Like the head light motors and steering column UJs the filler pipe is TR7 so either lockable or plain its Triumph that you want. I think that TVR must have got a good deal when Triumph went bump.

I found the best fit to my 280 fhc was a chimaera cap
not lockable but a good tight petrol proff fit

Thanks all, I will try the TR7 cap first, propably easier to get in the US, If that dosn't work I will try the Chimeria cap.
