Help! Ideas please
Discussion
Went to Cheddar, Somerset this weekend. All was dandy but then the wedge started cutting out at stop, in otherwords, as I stopped the revs would die completely. Did this most of the rest of the way to Cheddar with the odd occasion when it didn't. Was with other Tivs and a few theories came forth, mostly the stepper. Decided to leave it overnight and check again. Next morning was the same. Some nice Hants TVR owners had a looksee and removed a couple of doobrys on the top thingy (stop me if i get to technical here!) - plenham is it? Anyhoo, all looked clean. Couple of comments about me air filter but I cleaned that when I got home and it wasn't really very dirty at all.
Also, on the way home it developed a hesitancy on initial acceleration, just a fraction of a second but enough to notice. Cut out a few more time at stop but luckily managed to keep it going most of the time. Got back to Hampshire and it seemed to clear up and run fine again at idle.
Any ideas anyone?
Oh, and can they be imparted to someone of my technical level (think monkey with a spanner - you get the picture)
Thanks all in anticipation

Red ones do that aswell!
On the guess that the last thing you touched was the stereo (its usually the last thing you touched!)and this involved some pulling around of wires, I would suggest you disconnect the ECU plug and reconnect it to make sure it has got a perfect connection, seems to have solved my issue!

Hello mate, where's the ECU plug then - I did fit a new head unit last week as it happens! On the guess that the last thing you touched was the stereo (its usually the last thing you touched!)and this involved some pulling around of wires, I would suggest you disconnect the ECU plug and reconnect it to make sure it has got a perfect connection, seems to have solved my issue!

It's below the glove box in the passenger foot well. The glove-box is the thing that flies open when you go over small speed-bumps
...and if you hit large speed-bumps the ECU will reveal itself
On a serious note. Check any/all connections that may have been disturbed when installing the head unit.
