Precipitation provokes panic !!!
Discussion
There I was this afternoon swanning around top down (of course), roof section at home, looking cool in me shades and not a care in the world.
Suddenly a strange feeling gripped me as I realised that either my shades needed a clean or I'd been out longer than I thought and night was approaching.
NO...it was a jinormous black cloud settling overhead.
Did I tell you that the shortest route back to my house is a mile section of road riddled with speed bumps and 20mph signs, which I normally avoid like the plague?
Did you also know that those bumps can be taken at 50mph in a perfectly placed Wedge, even with tiny drops of rain starting to appear on the screen, and a howling wind beginning to roar ?
Did you know that it normally takes a while for me to carefully extricate my stiff old body from the cockpit, rather than the 3 seconds or so it took to vault over the side and run down the drive to heave open the garage door ?
Did you know that my (long) driveway has only a couple of inches clearance each side of my car's mirrors, and is especially difficult to negotiate when very LARGE drops of rain are beginning to plummet to earth, and that this afternoon in about another 3 seconds my p & J was hustled straight as a guided missile and perfectly parked in that lovely dry oasis of peace and calm ?
Phew !
