no not that expensive but got to buy them first!

Thought it would only take about an hour to fit the rears

That expensive is he..

how much roughly did this cost
as I am thinking about getting mine done soon
Thanks
Richard
The shocks are £275 for the front and £275 for the rear. The £275 is for a pair of shocks with springs and the mounting brackets and includes VAT and P&P to the UK mainland.
The ARB drop links are £69.99 for the pair inc VAT and P&p to the UK mainland.
Fitting time is about an hour for the drop links and 1-2 hours for the shocks, usually depending on how easy the old ones come off!

Would you say that is best to do first or replace all the bushes first
I think all my bushes are OK but not Poly
thanks
Richard
On the front I would not recommend Poly bushes as they are too stiff. The front suspension relies on the bushes to deform for it to work.
If the bushes are Ok then I can't see the point of replacing them. The shocks will give a big improvement irrespective of the bushes as they solve a couple of the design flaws in the original design in that the originals springs tend to bend rather than compress and the springs move in a different arc than the shocks so increasing and changing the loads that they see.
