I'm watching this one...similar to my first Wedge.

It could be a nice winter car for someone.

These cars are such good value...12 months MOT too ! smile

Im hoping so as I am looking to buy it! Fancied a FHC for a while and have been struggling to find one in good useable condition...

Would have preferred black, blue or kawasaki green (!) but will settle for red!

There was at least one S1 FHC in that colour.

Well, the handbrake should be well-used...it's all hills in Richmond...gateway to the dales.
I used to go to school there.

I like red. smile

An original factory painted colour? Really...Kawasaki sn*t green?
That's quite lurid for a wedge. It's the sort of colour you'd expect a Tuscan or Saggy to be..not a wedge!

Still....bet it looked good..(possibly)biggrin

Original but more like the current Kawasaki metallic green. Certainly not my cup of tea..

Ivor,
Your money, your choice. Why buy a nice original car to spoil it by modifying it to go racing.

Lots of Tasmin race cars out there for sale for a fraction of the cost you will spend to get your car on the grid.

Agreed

Please don't take another one off of the road for racing!

By all means do a few trackdays, but to kill a good Tasmin just for racing is soooo wrong

Its also a financial burden that will come as a shock no matter how well you think you are prepared. Do it all yourself and use reasonable quality parts and you will still spend the wrong side of 10K if you want something that wont be as depressing as hell the fist time you use it in competition.

I've spent over 10k on my tasmin, and that's on top of the what I bought it for. and it all ready was a tasmin racecar. so if I had to do it all from a road car would be another 5k. and that not including Tyres or spares.

Plus 90% of the parts was bought second hand, or trade.
It is Fully rose jointed, with fully adjustable Nitron shocks.
Fully stripped and re-welded chassis with new out riggers, and then painted with por 15
AP 5000 Pro calipers and AP 303mm disc's, with adjastable break bias.
latest 4.0 Rover v8, fully balanced and with top hat liners, custom Camshaft, fast lifters
Custom 70mm Induction, with wide band sensors
Custom headers and side Exhaust
Emerald ECU.
Race Tech Logger and Digital Dash, with carbon fibre surround.
Electric PAS
Aloy Rad, with Samco Hoses
Light weight one piece front end.
Lexan front windscreen.

Plus all the safety gear.

Plus all the stuff I forgot.

Oh and If I paid someone to do all the work it would be about 30k in labour, and it's not finished yet. and still need to pay for it to be sprayed.
