Hi all,

Got some light scoring on one of my brake discs amd could do with skimming or replacement. The set up is an AP Lockheed fout pot caliper with a 270mm dia. x ~27mm thick rotor bolted on to a seperate bell with 8x hex bolts.

Does anyone know where i can get replacement rotors and what the min thickness for this rotor is?

oh and does anyone know where i can source the correct length split pins for securing the pads. The best i could find were from a land rover fitting kit, which whilst being spot on length wise were bigger in diameter and gave no clearance between the pad and the pin to fitt the spring shim.

I've read that Apec do a kit but can't find anybody that carries them.

Cheers 7, by "made up" i take it you mean they are no longer a stock item and need to be machined from a blank? Sounds £££ !

No chance of a skim as i'm at minimum tollerance already.

The last pair I bought about 5 yrs. ago were £250 + vat. They were machined from AP blanks, and grooved (as well as vented). I doubt you'll be able to find a pair on the shelf anywhere. Worth replacing the bolts as well - BG can supply them.

Thanks tempus, those look like they might be just the ticket. I measured the spacing on two adjacent bolts at ~53.5mm c/c which by my calculation would be a pcd of 139.7568409mm ( though feel free to check & confirm, my Jedi trig powers are a little rusty)

Are the PCDs standard sizes? i.e i won't possibly need a disc with a pcd of 140mm for instance?

For those of you that can't source the APEC fitting kits, i've found that halfords fitting kit HFK804 has the correct length split pins. Haven't found a halfords equivalent for the spring shims yet but i believe they are Ford Transit, got some on order and will report back with the part number if they fit.
